TOAST!!

This is a short shot I animated with Maya and a dialogue taken from "Invader Zim". I've gotten critiques from Scott LeFleur and Ted Ty and I can't thank them enough for giving me amazing feedback. It's always a blast to learn new tips that changes your animation entirely. Enjoy!!

A BIG Happy Birthday to my Big Brother Andy!!!!

This is a quick animation I did for my big brother, Andy Chen and dedicated to his adorable cat, Chloe. I don't have money to buy you anything, but I hope this derpy animation is priceless for you. Thanks for your support and such and I love you tons!!!!

Each animation dance was traditionally animated, edited and timed in photoshop, after effects and premiere and each took around 4-5 hours to animate and composite. I definitely learned that syncing animation to music is a lot harder than it looks. It was also heavily inspired by the Ren and Stimpy Show

Enjoy!!

The song is from "Rainbow Bunchie". I don't know who wrote it, but all rights belong to the composer of this addicting song.

Urban Legends

Sarah Winchester dedicated the latter portion of her life to appeasing spirits. Our main character, Harry Houdini dedicated his life to disproving these spirit's existence. Molly, the psychic, thinks otherwise.

For Goodness Rake

I don't know why I didn't upload this sooner, but this was a student film that I worked on in my advanced animation class. I ended up getting credit as the director for this short, but personally, all the credit goes to everyone who was part of this film. Director is only a title, but everyone worked really hard and they all deserve the credit. Enjoy!

City of the Beasts by Isabel Allende

This was the anamatic/animation planning I did for my current project that's based off of Isabel Allende's City of the Beast. Our class split into eight groups with different studios to base our animations or visual developments off of. Our group got Nickelodeon.

I wanted to show how my anamatic was translated into digital animation using Autodesk Maya.

Enjoy!

The Wishing Well

This is an animated shot I did for a previous project in our BFA class.  We each got a country to research on and base our shot off of. I got Pakistan and in the end, came up with a shot that tells a story of a little beggar named Samera who is sick of her life and steals a piece of naan during the month of Ramadan. This is the shot when Samera escapes under a water pump to eat in private, but shortly before she eats it, she's confronted by an Angel.

The Chair

BFA's "The Chair". There were no instructions on what we were doing with it, except that it had to be 3-30 seconds long and non-live action things. We were only given a week and this is what I came up with. Since it got positive feedback from fellow classmates and professors, I decided to finish it. Enjoy!!

I also submitted this to the CSU Media Arts Festival. Always worth a shot. :)
