Calvin and Hobbes Themed Wedding!!

I'm not sure how I forgot to post this when I did it, but a few years ago, my brother's friend Jonathan and Stephanie wanted to throw a wedding together with Calvin and Hobbes as the main theme. Eventually they emailed me and asked that I do a commission for their wedding invites and decorations.

Their wedding was a huge success! Their wedding was even featured on Buzzfeed, PetaPixel,  and Off Beat Bride.

Here are the digital paintings I did for their wedding with my greatest apologies to Bill Watterson.

It's an Angeru!!

Happy Birthday to my dearest brother!! (Yeah, I'm two days late) Had a ton of fun putting this one together. It contains all the Angels from the original series minus Ireul since it's literally a microscopic angel. So then actually…technically... it's in the painting right? Enjoy!!

Pokemon Gallery: Nidoqueen!

#31. Nidoqueen. This was my contribution for "PokeArt for Charity" that our program at San Jose State set up. My two friends wanted to have a fun art gallery dedicated to the first generation of Pokemon and we were randomly selected with a pokemon. I ended up with Nidoqueen.

The Steps

1. Actually drawing it out

 2. Scanning it in and ink in photoshop

3. Blocking in her colors

 4. Cel shade and blend them together

5. Print out loads of copies and cut 'em up

Final Thoughts: I had so much fun with this pokemon, especially since I didn't know too much about it. It wasn't always my favorite when I was a kid, but now, I really love Nidoqueen. I mean look at those mouse ears. I would love to do this again in the near future. 

What a Majestic Creature

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Instead of drawing a picture of a turkey, I decided to paint this picture I found on tumblr a while ago. I don't know why, but I love derpy animals. Moving on, I wanted to paint this picture as a "speed painting" study as well as adding my own interpretation to what I see to it. In the Reign of Harad IV by Steven Millhauser

Climatic Scene

         Our last project in our Conceptual Illustration class was to create a story with characters that defined our personalities. We also had to create an environment and actually create the set for our scene and in the end, had to have a render for our climatic scene. The set was all hand made and painted with metalic paint.

         This scene takes place in the rubble of a building after an earthquake and the main character, Denver, is mourning for a friend that died trying to save him. This is also where he encounters his mentor, a blind tanuki. This piece was done digitally with textures that were randomly picked from google images. Enjoy!
